Rami Beracha discusses his life experiences with students at the Interdisciplinary Center Herzliya. Rami was a teenager who decided to study law. Although he wasn't sure that it was the best choice for him, he continued his law studies, got a Master's in New York, and then went to work in an attorney firm. Through his experience at the Wall Street firm, he discovered that he was passionate about business more than law. He left his job and moved to France to take on an MBA.
Following her graduation from the college, in 1996 Beracha began work at the Pitango Venture Capital Fund, Israel's largest venture capital fund. Pitango invests in companies in their earliest stages and is developing key areas of high-tech. Pitango has made over 200 investments in the past and had over 85 exits. Rami became managing partner of Pitango in 2000. He was instrumental in negotiating several deals that led to successful exits for fortune 500 companies like Broadcom as well as Marvel, Cisco, and Apple over the next 18 years.

It didn't end there. Globes honored Beracha with the title of "Esteemed Partner", recognizing him for his role as a key investor. Rami established Sosa in 2014 as a brand new initiative. Sosa has innovation centres located in New York, Tel Aviv and Tel Aviv. Here they aid innovative high-tech firms to collaborate with entrepreneurs from all over the world who are looking to collaborate with promising Israeli startups. Sosa was appointed recently to supervise the building and operation of New York City’s cyber center.

The fund, Ender Ventures as he calls it, will bring together Israeli and European Investors to support UAE high tech companies in artificial intelligence, virtual reality and robotics. The United Arab Emirates offers a unique business perspective. Because of its corporate taxes and favorable laws numerous companies will be drawn to the UAE in the near future.

Although Rami Beracha seems to be success in every endeavor he's done, it wasn't always easy. Beracha as with many Israelis became a soldier as a young man. He was a member of the Paratrooper's Brigade as a combat soldier, and fought during the Lebanon War. Rami joined a rescue party that was sent to assist soldiers injured in a wild minefield in 1983, just after the war. However, Rami stepped on a hidden mine and was unable to walk and also lost his hand in the incident.

The time he spent in the hospital rehabilitation was one the most difficult of his entire life. He was unable to move and was stricken with desperation and depression. The dream of becoming an army officer seemed unrealized and he lost all sense of self. Through his suffering, Rami was able to be driven to continue moving forward and to create new goals. He decided to become even better and even stronger than before his injuries. Rami took the initiative to try other extreme sports. He enjoys kitesurfing and snowboarding. He's also climbed Mount Kilimanjaro. While he works to better himself, he often feels like his past unwounded self is chasing him and forcing him to go further.

He is a volunteer for numerous organizations and donates to. He is very passionate about helping young men, suffering from injuries sustained in combat. Rami took a group wounded soldiers to Nepal in the year 2016, and was given the rank of major. In 2018 he received the rank of major in the fire brigades and paratroopers within the Israeli military. He was a dreamer as a young man and they were able to come to fruition despite all the obstacles. His story and the passion he has for his cause are a great inspiration to anyone who comes across them. Rami did not let his injuries stop his from learning new skills and he became stronger each day.
